 Description:  The Milthorpe Scholarship in Science was generously donated by Professor Bruce Milthorpe, Dean of Science at UTS. The scholarship was established to support undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students studying in UTS Science degrees, who are experiencing financial hardship.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders; be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at the UTS Faculty of Science with satisfactory academic progression (for continuing students only); and be in financial need, as demonstrated through current Centrelink benefits, or otherwise demonstrated exceptional financial hardship. Selection is based on: motivation and interest in the chosen UTS course; personal experience and achievement as demonstrated in the scholarship application process; and academic merit (for commencing students - results of qualification used for entry into the UTS Science course; for continuing students - academic results of the previous year).
