Description: Campbelltown City Council has dedicated this scholarship to the memory of Ian Slade Porter, General Manager of Campbelltown City Council 1988-1999. Ian was totally committed to his community and to the principle of access to education for all of its citizens. In the field of education, Ian was a lecturer in local government administration, a long-standing member of the UWS Macarthur Council and Chairman of the UWS Macarthur Consultative Committee. This scholarship perpetuates the memory of Ian and his immense contribution to the Campbelltown community, which will be remembered well into the 21st Century.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; have resided in the Campbelltown local government area for at least 12 months prior to the commencement of study at UWS; demonstrate involvement with and contributions to the community, providing evidence of leadership, motivation and attitude; and be enthusiastic ambassadors for Campbelltown and be willing to take an active role in supporting their community through such opportunities as attendance at Council and other events.
