Description: The scholarship was established to provide financial support to engineering students through their studies and provide valuable industry workplace experience to further supplement their education.

Annual Comment: The scholarship is valued at a total of $75,000 for 5 years; paid at $7,500 per semester for 10 semesters. Students will complete a 6 month work placement during their course. This placement will be paid according to industry rates. During this placement students will complete the work required for their Industrial Experience units. Students should note that this will increase the duration of their course by 1 semester. The scholarship stipend of $7,500 will not be paid during this additional semester. Additional work placements during semester breaks may be offered by the Department on a case by case basis.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, or holders of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; be enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering Science, Bachelor of Engineering Honours or Bachelor of Engineering Science/Master of Engineering specialising in civil or mechanical engineering; have completed NTCET or IB in the year prior to commencing study at CDU; be enrolled full-time for the duration of the scholarship; and reside in the Northern Territory.
