Description: The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support to engineering students who are considering a career in the oil and gas industry.

Annual Comment: The scholarship is valued at $6,500 per year for up to 2 years or the remainder of the course, whichever is lesser. Recipients will also receive up to $1,500 per year for professional development; this could include costs relating to vacation work experience, a field trip, seminar or other development opportunity proposed by the scholarship recipient and approved by ConocoPhillips. ConocoPhillips may offer up to 12 weeks paid vacation employment during the summer break in the relevant year, to be arranged in conjunction with ConocoPhillips. The timing of this employment may need to be flexible according to business needs and negotiated with the scholarship recipient.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, or holders of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; be enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering Science specialising in chemical, electrical and electronic or mechanical engineering; have completed a minimum of 160 credit points; and be enrolled full-time for the duration of the scholarship.
