Description: Melbourne based accounting and consulting agency, brWellington, has made a generous commitment of one $6,000 scholarship for a second-year undergraduate Accounting or Accounting and Finance student at Swinburne.

The scholarship funds must be used for books and enrolment fees related to the recipient's studies, unless otherwise agreed with brWellington.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents; have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree with a professional major in Accounting or Accounting and Finance with the Faculty of Business and Enterprise (with no more than 4 exemptions); achieve distinction over the first year (8 units); be enrolled in the second year of the undergraduate degree in Semester 1, 2015; and demonstrate financial need and evidence of current or recent involvement in community service.

Other Details: Students are expected to undertake a minimum of one months' paid vacation work with brWellington and to be involved in brWellington's community-based activities. To be eligible for subsequent years' scholarship monies, students must have achieved a distinction average in their previous year's studies. Students in receipt of the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship, a Dean's Scholarship or any other scholarship to the value of $1,000 or more per year (pro rata for part-time students) are not eligible.
