 Description:  The School of Accounting offers a cooperative education scholarship program for students who have the potential to become future business leaders. The Bachelor of Accounting is a co-operative education program, being a three-way partnership between the sponsor organisations, UTS and the students. All students in the Bachelor of Accounting program receive a generous income tax-exempt scholarship per year for 3 years (subject to Recruitment Incentive being paid out), paid in fortnightly instalments.

 Annual Comment:  The scholarship is tenable for 3 years and provides: $15,000 in the first year; $15,500 in the second year; and $8,000 in the first half of the third year. In addition, all students who are recruited by a sponsor organisation in their final year of study will receive a Recruitment Incentive bonus of $8,000, and any student who has to move home in order to join the course in Sydney will receive a Relocation Allowance.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia; have received an offer into the UTS Bachelor of Accounting through UAC; and be commencing full-time enrolment in their first undergraduate degree in the following year. Selection is based on: academic merit (ATAR of 95 highly desirable but not essential); strong interest in an accounting-based career; involvement and achievement in a range of activities and interests; demonstrated leadership qualities; and personal attributes needed to succeed both as a student and in a business career such as communication skills, inter-personal skills, team-working skills, problem-solving skills, enthusiasm and dedication.
