Description: The Sunshine Coast Daily Kathleen McArthur Memorial Scholarship was first established by the Sunshine Coast Daily in memory of Kathleen McArthur, who was a conservationist, author, educator and activist. She was selected by the Sunshine Coast Daily as the Sunshine Coast Citizen of the Century in 2002. The intent of this scholarship is to encourage and support a student with an active interest in the environment.

Eligibility: Applicants must: have completed secondary schooling in the year prior to enrolment; be enrolling full-time in their first undergraduate program; and have graduated from schools in the areas covered by the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Gympie, Somerset, Fraser Coast or South Burnett local government areas. Selection is based on high academic achievement and demonstrated interest in and commitment to the environment.
