Description: This scholarship was established as a jointly funded initiative between Australian Rotary Health and the Australian Government and the NSW Health Department. The aim of the project is to establish a scholarship fund that can be used for the purpose of assisting Indigenous students undertake a program of study in a wide range of health related professions at the University of Newcastle.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and be accepted by their local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community as a member of that community; be enrolled in the second year onwards of any medical/health related program; and be enrolled full time.

Other Details: This scholarship is subject to the availability of funding from the donor. The scholar shall not be required by the donor (or the University) to undertake employment as a condition of award of the scholarship.
