The postgraduate program at ANU is divided into two categories, masters (coursework) and postgraduate research. Graduate students who decide to study masters can choose from a variety of areas in the coursework program such as accounting, actuarial studies, anthropology, art history and curatorial studies, astronomy and astrophysics, biology, computer science and technology, economics and engineering.

Meanwhile, postgraduate students who opt to conduct research activities can choose the higher degree by research (HDR) program at ANU. Postgraduate research degrees include Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and professional doctorates. Students who are found eligible may also be granted research scholarships.

Study Online

Distance education courses under the graduate studies program are available at ANU for students to enroll in. This includes different study areas such as anthropology and development, indigenous Australian studies, art history and curatorship, ethics and philosophy, computing and related technologies, environmental sciences and resource management, biology, health and medicine and natural and physical sciences.

A diverse range of online tools are used to make the learning experience of students rich and interactive as possible. Scholarships
