 Description:  Danny Gilbert AM is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Gilbert & Tobin, one of Australia's most successful corporate law firms. Gilbert & Tobin provide innovative, relevant and commercial legal solutions to major corporate and Government clients across Australia and internationally, including the Asia-Pacific region. Danny's skills and experience includes over 30 years in commercial law, specialising in technology and corporate law. Since the mid-1970's he has had extensive involvement with social justice issues through work with community legal centres, public organisations and the arts. In 1992 he established Gilbert & Tobin Pro Bono practice, which has strong emphasis on indigenous issues. Danny is committed to making a difference in the community, bringing his expertise to a number of director roles, including roles at the National Australia Bank and Chair of the National Museum of Australia. He is the Chair of the University of Western Sydney's Foundation Council. In 2005, Danny was honoured with the Order of Australia (AM) for his services to the law and the community, particularly Australia's Indigenous people.
