 Description:  In 2011 local Freemasons from 8 separate Masonic Orders on the Central Coast funded the purchase of a sterilising unit for the University's Oral Health Mobile Van. These local Freemasons would like to support students by providing textbook scholarships across the programs offered at the Central Coast Campus. These scholarships are intended to assist students who are in financial need, yet academically sound.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be enrolling in the 1st year of an eligible undergraduate program at the University of Newcastle, Central Coast Campus; be enrolled full-time; and be the holder of a current Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card. Eligible programs are: Bachelor of Nursing; Bachelor of Oral Health; Bachelor of Podiatry; Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science; Bachelor of Food Science and Human Nutrition; Bachelor of Commerce; Bachelor of Teaching Primary/Bachelor of Arts; Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary)/Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Teaching (Primary)/Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies.
