Description: The Accommodation Scholarship was introduced in 2006 by the Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences in order to reduce the burden of accommodation and living expenses for a student wishing to commence study with the Faculty. The successful applicant is expected to make a positive contribution to the community of the nominated residential college and demonstrate why they wish to stay in university accommodation.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents; be enrolling in an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences as a full-time student; have a Queensland overall position score (OP) of 5+; and have completed their final year of school within 2 years of applying for the scholarship. Selection based on academic merit, communication skills, school/community involvement, other achievements (sporting, musical, debating); reasons for choosing to stay in university accommodation; motivation to succeed in their chosen field; and demonstrated leadership.
