 Description:  UNISS is an opportunity for students to make significant contributions to a work environment and at the same time experience the culture and ethics of the workplace. The program is structured so that students are either on placement or studying. This allows them to focus on one aspect of their program at a time. One of the key elements of UNISS is 1-year full-time placement with the sponsor company, which usually occurs during the third or fourth year. During this placement, scholars take on a meaningful role within the organisation, undertaking all the responsibilities associated with being a practising professional. This intensive experience, combined with a qualification from the University of Newcastle, provides UNISS graduates with an advantage in an increasingly competitive employment market.
